Information on CET Karnataka - Exams, Results, Counseling
The CET (Common Entrance Test) is conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) for admissions to courses such as Engineering, Technology, Medical, Dental, Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Unani, Naturopathy and Yoga. The test is conducted at more than 50 locations throughout the state of Karnataka.
The whole process of CET starts with the issue of brochure and application form. Students need to fill out the form and submit to the respective colleges. The students are required to collect the admission tickets from the colleges.
The CET exam is conducted after the qualifying examination (12th PUC / CBSE / Others). The results of the exam are published along with the rank list. Separate rank list is prepared for engineering and medical streams.
Based on the ranking obtained students need to attend the counseling session for selection of seats in various available colleges.
Seats in a particular college are divided into various categories.
Category - 1
Category - 2A
Category - 2B
Category - 3A
Category - 3B
Scheduled Castes (SC)
Scheduled Tribes (ST)
General Merit (GM)
Seats are reserved for Rural Candidates, Kannada Medium Candidates and other special categories.
